It is sad to be sad

We've all been there. We've all felt its sting. Some people say that you are born destined to be doomed. Well, you most probably cried just after you breathed your first breath. But don't you remember your early years of your life? Weren't you happy? And I mean - just happy? Wasn't just running around bringing you joy? And - weren't *you* bringing joy to others just by running around?

Some people will tell you that you *have* to grow up. But do they mean that you have to get rid of everything that brought you joy in the process? Are *they* happy in their path? Did they choose it - or it was forced to them?

ThereĀ are many, and I mean *many* ways to be happy. Don't just stand here and listen. It brings me joy that you stop by and talk with me. But I am but a stranger you met. I am not your source of happiness. Ask yourself, what is. I don't know the answer. Go and find it. Maybe ask someone for a clue. But at the end, it *will* be your treasure. And you know what? Don't keep it for yourself only. Go and spread it. Make more from it. And make more of it. Don't worry. You have what it takes to find it. Don't ask. I don't want to spoil the fun for you. Just don't force yourself to be happy. Give it some time.

There are nights when you long for the light of the dawn. And there will be more of them. More nights and more dawns. Will you be ready to praise the rise of the sun? Will you be eager to rise just like the sun you praise? Or will you willingly let others do it instead? When will your time arrive when you let others go first?

I won't ask the obvious question. I already know the answer. And I will give it to you instead of asking. You do want to be happy. And I do want you to be happy. Go and find others that think and act that way. Believe me, they are looking for you just as much as you seek them.

I'll give you an example. It will seem suspicious and disconnected at first, so hear my warning. Bible says that there was a guy named Thomas. He was nicknamed "doubting Thomas". There are songs about that part that are sung even today. And he is also a Christian saint. Looks contradicting? Maybe. Or maybe not? Think about it on your next journey.
